How To Build a Patio Without Knowing How
You can build a patio for your home without even learning how to build a patio. When you go into any home improvement or garden store you will usually see that they carry something called 'walkway' stones.
Most of the time they come in a large variety of shapes, colors and sizes. To build a patio using these, and without pouring any cement at all, you just figure out how large you would want your patio.
For example, if you want a 100 square foot patio, you would want to pick up a hundred of these 'walkway' squares. That is because the usual size is about one square foot each. This is the easiest way to learn how to build a patio. Then you would dig your ground up and level it.
No need for fancy equipment, a shovel and a rake are sufficient to get the job done. Use the rake to make the dirt nice and even and then set your stepping stones on the ground and line them up next to each other.
Of course, to make one that is perfectly square, you would place ten rows of ten. You want to fit them as closely together as you can. Then you will want to stomp on your stones to set them down into the dirt nice and securely.
Make sure your stepping stones are nice and even. Put any extra dirt that you raked away on top of the squares. Even if there isn't much dirt left go ahead and do this anyway.
After you have spread the dirt over all of it as evenly as possible, go ahead and sweep it off the stones. This helps fill up any small cracks or spaces in the patio squares. Voila! This is one of the easiest ways to learn how to build a patio ever.
